Sounds like your DNS server may be downward.

tin can yous ping the DC? Have you tried un-joiningthen re-joining the pc to/from the domain?

If it is non a DNS issue I would try to remove them from the domain past putting them into a workgroup, reboot, then remove the trace of the computer in A/D Users & Computers, so re-enroll them to the domain and move from the default location to their proper place in A/D construction.

Sounds like your DNS server may be down.
DNS server shows as running in server manager and it also says it's continued on the computer in Ipconfig.

I've had this problem recently some myself and have been modifying the HOSTS file to add a reference to the DC. Actually, I've been calculation all the static server IPs company-wide when I modify the file while I'm in there. I agree with LarryG, it is a DNS problem - but information technology'southward somewhere on the DC itself I believe.

Sounds similar your DNS server may be down.
DNS server shows as running in server manager and information technology besides says it'due south continued on the reckoner in Ipconfig.
Can y'all ping it by name? Tin you scan to information technology in Explorer? Is rebooting it an option, just to see what happens?

Tin ping the DC just fine. I did effort un-joining and re-joining the computer only I got an error.
If it is not a DNS outcome I would try to remove them from the domain by putting them into a workgroup, reboot, then remove the trace of the computer in A/D Users & Computers, then re-enroll them to the domain and motility from the default location to their proper place in A/D structure.
Although I did non try connecting information technology to a workgroup first so I will endeavour that.

I tin ping it by name fine. I tin, and rebooting does nothing.

If y'all assign all the IP info statically, instead of via DHCP does anything modify?

How many DC'south do you accept?
Tin can you mail the output of an ipconfig /all from a workstation or server with this result?
Can you post the output of an NSLOOKUP from a workstation or server with this issue?

See if you are connected to the DOMAIN network, or if the machine reconnected to a WORK/PUBLIC network. I would try to restart the network location sensation service.

Well I just tried what John4120 suggested and it is now connected to the domain correctly so now i tin can admission drives and employ other ad accounts. But it is still showing upwardly with "Network" nether network and sharing.

Did y'all endeavour statically adding the DNS to the network settings of the workstations in question?
I am getting an mistake message on some computers saying "The system cannot contact a domain controller to service the authentication request. Please endeavor once again later." when trying to access drives or "The following error occurred attempting to rename the computer. The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted." when trying to rename the computer.
On these computers you can still apply the internet but information technology connects to either "Network" or "Network2" rather than our domain and won't allow you admission drives or print. Too trying to log into an account that has not been used on that reckoner will give y'all the "No logon servers available" bulletin, and so you lot can but use cached credentials.
I just need to reconnect these computers to the domain but i'thou out of ideas.

I stumbled upon this thread through a search and your suggestions hinted at where to await for my fix.
I have a 2008 Small Business server that I was trying to connect a Windows ten Pro estimator to. I modified the deployment package .xml file equally suggested above. Even so no success.
I could ping the server via IP on the Windows 10 calculator. I went to ping the server via computer proper name an it came back with an IPv6 address. On the router, I have IPv6 fix to Car Config (which apparently enabled IPv6). This had never caused an outcome until now. Instead of disabling on the router, I disabled IPv6 on the Windows 10 computer and tested with pinging the server via computer proper name. Information technology came dorsum with the IPv4 accost.
At present I can add the Windows 10 reckoner to the domain.
I accept a feeling we're going to see more IPv4/IPv6 issues.
